The first Apple product event of the year has come to an end. Apple unveiled the low-cost iPhone SE 3, iPad Air 5 with M1 processor, and Mac Studio machine at its annual developer conference on Wednesday. Apple also hinted at a new Mac Pro but provided no further specifics. The gadget will be unveiled at a later date.
There will be an iPhone SE 3 in 2020 as a follow-up to the iPhone SE 2, and there will be an iPad Air 5 in 2020 as a follow-up to the iPad Air 4. Even though the iPhone SE 3 and iPad Air 5 share the same design as their predecessors, they have been improved with more powerful internals. There were a lot of new products released by Apple at its Peak Performance event.
The iPhone SE 3 Update
Apple unveiled the iPhone SE 3 during their Spring event, which was dubbed the “Peak Performance” event, following a series of leaks and rumours. Powered by the same Apple A15 Bionic chipset as the iPhone 13 series, the iPhone SE 3 supports 5G networks.
The iPhone SE 3 has the same rounded edges of the iPhone SE 2020, which is carried over to the next model. The phone has a 4.7-inch screen and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. The phone’s IP67 certification ensures that it is dust- and water-resistant. A 12-megapixel camera sensor is housed in the phone’s single rear-facing camera.
The global retail price of the iPhone SE 3 is $429. The phone was priced at Rs 43,900 when it went on sale in India. From March 11, pre-orders will be available. Midnight, starlight, and (PRODUCT) RED and green will be among the four colour options for the iPhone SE 3. India and other nations will be able to buy the phone starting on March 18.
iPad Air 5 Update
To keep up with the new MacBook Pros and iPad Pro, Apple introduced the iPad Air 5 with the most powerful M1 processor available. In the past, it was speculated that the iPad Air 5 will include an A15 Bionic processor. The iPad Air 5’s design, on the other hand, is identical to that of the iPad Air 4.
The 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display of the iPad Air 5 has 3.8 million pixels, a brightness rating of 500 nits, and a colour gamut of P3. Similar to the iPad Air 4, it features squared-off edges. Touch ID, the fingerprint sensor included into the new iPad, also serves as the device’s power button. eSIM, dual speakers, and Wi-Fi 6 are all included with the iPad.
With its 12-megapixel wide-angle lens on the back and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera on the front, the iPad Air 5 provides a superior video-calling experience.
It costs Rs 54,900 in India for the WiFi version of the iPad Air 5, while the WiFi+Cellular model costs Rs 68,900. For the first time, the iPad Air 5 will be available in a variety of colours.
MacBook Pro with Retina Display Update
In addition to the Mac Studio, which was announced during Apple’s Spring Event, an all-new Mac was also revealed. When it launches in 2020, it is rumoured to be more powerful than Apple’s current Mac mini. The M1 Ultra chipset, which is significantly more powerful than the M1 chipset, powers Mac Studio.
In addition to the M1 Max and M1 Ultra, Apple has unveiled two new Mac Studio models: the M1 Studio and the M1 Studio Ultra. M1 Max starts at Rs 189,900, while Studio with the M1 Ultra starts at Rs 3,89,900 for Indian customers.
