Intel’s 12th Generation Core Mobile Processor was introduced by Gigabyte on March 24th in their Brix Extreme Mini-PC. A date for its introduction has not yet been set.

A lot of power is crammed into this little, tiny computer (44 x 134 x 139 mm). An improved single-threaded and multithreaded performance is the result of a hybrid architecture in Intel Core CPUs. In the 12th generation of Core mobile CPUs, you may choose from the Core i3, i5, and i7 processor options. The Alder Lake mobile CPUs have up to 12 cores and are the mobile equivalents of the desktop Alder Lake range.

HDMI 2.1, USB 4, 2.5 G Ethernet, and the most recent Wi-Fi 6E configuration are all included in the 2022 Brix Extreme’s four display outputs. As a result of the Wi-Fi 6E technology and 2.5G Ethernet, this machine is extremely fast and highly reliable, allowing one to operate without interruption and giving network flexibility. HDMI 2.1 supports resolutions up to 8K, so you’ll be blown away by the picture quality on your TV or other display while using it. DDR4 memory rates of up to 3200 MH make it a behemoth amongst its competitors.

With the 11th Gen Intel Core, the CPU has increased by 24%, while the GPU has increased by more than 10%. Using the Trusted Platform Module (TPM), the new BRIX hardware is safe and protected from data leaks.

When used with a VESA bracket, BRIX may be used to produce high-quality work in one’s field of interest. The Brix 2022 was found to be one of the quietest top performers after extensive thermal, firmware, hardware design, and other tests.

The business acknowledges in a written statement that the “all-new 2022 BRIX performed at a virtually imperceptible sound level below 20dB, and that low noise level is maintained even while performing high workloads.” To further enhance performance, the boost mode, which has a TDP of 45W, may be used, while still keeping the noise level below 35dB.

Slim and Tall, but Still Powerful

There are two sizes of the Brit Extreme: a slim model and a tall model. Even though both models are available in various sizes, the Tall version can contain a 2.5-inch SSD or HDD and may be modified for storage. Upgrade kits are equipped with an I/O expander that allows for more network connections, as well as RS232 ports and an M.2 2280 slot for additional storage. The many I/O output choices allow for a wide range of applications.

Availability and Pricing

Also included is a built-in Intel Iris Xe GPU with 96 execution units, which is suitable for supporting more detailed gaming experiences while yet maintaining top performance and enabling the creation of high-quality media. The newest DirectX12 Ultimate games can be played with ease because to the large 96 EUs. With its hydro-cooling technology, the Brix Extreme mini-PC is able to withstand intense workloads.

Due to Gigabyte’s exclusive Ultra Durable technology, the greatest possible power supply is guaranteed without sacrificing any of the system’s high performance or functionality. It has also undergone a series of rigorous tests to prove its worthiness.

The BRIX Extreme 2022 is scheduled to be introduced in the second quarter of 2022, at the latest. The pricing of the New Brix Extreme Mini-PC has not been disclosed by the tech business. After a period of time, more specific information is likely to be made available.
