The Jio AirFiber will function as a one-device solution that can be used as a personal WiFi hotspot in offices or at home.
As he addressed investors at the annual General Meeting (AGM), Mukesh Ambani announced plans that the company plans for in the near future, such as the launch of standalone 5G services in India in the Diwali season this year.
Furthermore, Reliance has also announced Jio AirFiber – a plug-and-play device that lets users enjoy fiber-like speeds in the air with no wires.
The Jio AirFiber can be used as an all-in-one device solution that offers an individual WiFi hotspot for office or at home.
Ambani announced that, for the PAN India 5G network, the company has committed to invest Rs 2 lakh crore in investment.
Addressing investors at Jio’s 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) Ambani announced that Jio will launch 5G services in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai in Diwali 2022. He also said it will expand to other towns and cities in phases to cover the whole of India in the period of 18 months from the end of December 2023.
Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani during the AGM announced his company’s AirFiber service will allow people’s homes and offices connect to gigabit-speed internet.
“An alternative that is even more exciting that Jio 5G offers is ultra-high-speed fixed broadband. Because you can get the same speeds as fiber through the air with no wires, we’re calling Jio AirFiber. Jio AirFiber. With JioAirFiber it is incredibly simple to connect your office or home to gigabit-speed Internet,” he said.
“Thanks to Gigabit speed of JioAirFiber, we can deliver multiple video streams, showing multiple camera angles at the same time and that too in ultra-high definition, and we can dynamically choose which camera angle we want to focus on,” Ambani stated.
Jio has also introduced the new JioCloud PC that is a slim device that comes with an “pay for what you use” model. Users can avail JioCloud PC for free. Jio virtual PC with no initial investment or updates.
