More info emerges
Although the Samsung Galaxy S23 phone family is not expected to arrive until February, we have heard plenty of rumors about them. The latest information that we have concerning the’signature colours’ of these phones can be found here.
This information is based on SamMobile (opens in new tab), who has a track record of obtaining details about Samsung products in advance. These colors are known as signature colors because they are the most commonly used in marketing materials and promotional materials.
It will be green for the Galaxy S23 standard, while it will be pink for the Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra. There will also be several other colors available for all three handsets.
Launch date rumors
A separate leak by Ice Universe (opens in new tab) has revealed that the Galaxy S23’s launch date is February 1. That’s Wednesday. However, follow-up tweets indicate that the launch date for the Galaxy S23 is February 1, which would be a Wednesday.
Samsung’s headquarters is in South Korea. This country is far ahead of the US and Europe in terms of time zones. All of this together makes it the most logical to have a Galaxy Unpacked event in the evening in South Korea on February 1.
There are conflicting reports about the launch date. Other sources suggested that February would be a better time, but it is possible that this date refers more to when the phones go on sale than when they were first unveiled.
Analysis: same design, better internals
Samsung Galaxy S23: Nothing is certain until Samsung announces the actual devices. However, taking all the rumors together it does not seem like much is changing in the 2023 upgrade over the 2022 handsets.
Already, we’ve seen mockups of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The designs and setup look almost identical to the ones that were before them. The Plus and standard models may be borrowing the Ultra’s extruded camera look.
There will be improvements inside the Galaxy S23 series: an upgraded Snapdragon and possibly Exynos chip will power the phones, so things should run more smoothly than ever. The latest version of Android will be installed on the phones’ software side.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 may follow in the footsteps of the iPhone 14 in the area satellite connectivity. This provides users with an alternative to Wi-Fi or cellular connections and allows them to have an emergency backup. We should be able to see better photos and videos from the rear cameras.
