We reported previously that OnePlus will hold a global launch event on Tuesday, February 7. There we’ll hear more information about international pricing and availability, even though everything else about the phone has already been disclosed.
Specs are appealing
OnePlus has not been shy about sharing specifications, features, and promotional images for the OnePlus 11 via its Weibo page (opens in a new tab). There won’t be much to share at the official launch events in January and February.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset by Qualcomm will run the show. Memory configuration options are available starting at 12GB. This is an increase from the 8GB memory option with the OnePlus 10 Pro, which was launched earlier in the year.
The official images of the phone match the previously leaked renders. According to Google Translate, OnePlus claims that the phone has a “black hole-inspired aesthetic design”, with a large rear-facing camera module.
Analyse: Phones starts here
The January 4th launch in China is considered an official unveiling. In 2023, the OnePlus 11 will be the first flagship smartphone to emerge from the blocks. According to the latest rumors Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S23 series of phones on Wednesday, February 1. Three high-end handsets will be on display: the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
As the Pixel smartphones usually make their debut in October, the Google Pixel 8 will likely follow suit. We might see a foldable phone from Google and a mid-range Pixel 7a.
The iPhone 15 will take on the Android flagships. The iPhone 15 will be the flagship Android smartphone. Apple is expected to release several iPhone 15 models during September. We already know that the camera will receive a significant upgrade and that some models could have solid-state buttons.
