Additional Material You enhancements are included in Android 13 Beta 2, which will shortly begin trickling out to compatible Pixel smartphones. Additionally, certain modifications have been made to the underlying operating system.

Visit the Google Android beta page if you’re a Pixel user who’s interested in testing out the beta version of the operating system. There are a number of other phone manufacturers that are also making beta releases of Android 13 accessible for their top flagship devices.

You are free to test out the beta version of Android 13 on any of these devices, including the Realme GT 2 Pro and the OnePlus 10 Pro; however, you should be aware that beta builds are frequently unreliable.

What’s new about Android 13?

The latest version of Android has a new permission setting that gives you control over which applications send you alerts. This version also offers improvements to the permissions that may be used to connect with adjacent devices and access media files. In addition to that, there is a photo picker that protects your privacy and native support for HDR video.

Android 13 also features better ‘Material You’ design language components. In addition to the previously mentioned additional customization choices, app icon colours may now be matched with themes, and users can also specify their language preference for individual apps.

Android 13 also includes a number of improvements for tablets and foldables, which enable users to make the most of the additional screen real estate they have on these types of devices. This comes with a brand new notification and quick-settings panel in addition to other features. Support for Bluetooth LE Audio, MIDI 2.0 via USB, and the ability to automatically delete clipboard history are some of the other enhancements.

Future versions of Android 13 will have a new unified Security & Privacy settings page. This page will display customers a clear, easy-to-understand color-coded indicator of the safety state of their device as well as how they may enhance it.
