The Dev Channel is now open to Windows Insiders who want to try out Android app compatibility on Windows 11. Earlier this week, Microsoft announced that it will be expanding its testing of Android apps to the Dev Channel.
Only Insiders who were part of the Beta Channel were able to test Android applications on Windows 11 until November 4, 2021. Dev Channel Insiders may now try out Android apps, according to an update to Microsoft’s blog article on the issue, which was published earlier this week.
The Amazon Appstore is now available for use on the Windows 11 operating system. When Microsoft announced the inclusion of Android applications on Windows 11 in the public release version of the operating system in June, many people speculated that this would be the case. This was not the case, however, when Windows 11 was originally introduced in October of last year.
However, Microsoft has lately begun testing Android applications on Windows 11 in the Beta Channel, which has been a source of frustration for many.
While Windows 11 developers on the Dev Channel are permitted to experiment with Android applications on their supported computers, the same constraints apply to this practice. This is still a U.S.-only experience, and there are certain problems to be aware of that you may want to be aware of. Aside from that, there are just a handful of Android applications accessible for download through the Amazon Appstore at this time. In addition, the shift is noteworthy since Dev Channel builds are not connected to the general availability of a particular version of Windows.
