EVGA to Exit Graphics Market over Reported Nvidia Disrespect

According to reports, Nvidia refused to disclose basic information about its PC graphics cards to partners like EVGA prior to launch. This made it difficult for them to prepare.

In a shock move, GPU maker EVGA has reportedly ended its partnership with Nvidia.

The company stated that EVGA would cease all manufacturing of video cards.

EVGA has not yet mentioned (Opens in a new browser) that it will not be producing Nvidia’s upcoming graphics cards. This includes the RTX 4000 series.

Gamers Nexus was able to interview EVGA executives and they said that the company had notified Nvidia of its decision to exit the graphics card business in April. The reason EVGA is ending the partnership is a lack of respect from Nvidia.

EVGA was established in 1999. It didn’t respond immediately to a request for comment. Gamers Nexus reports that the company plans to sell all of its RTX 3000 GPUs before the end of the year. EVGA plans to continue selling its other components, but it is preparing to reduce its business. Gamers Nexus reports that 78% of EVGA’s revenue comes directly from sales of video cards.
