Instagram and Facebook Messenger will change as cross-app communication comes to an end. Starting with this upgrade, Instagram users can no longer initiate chats on Facebook. The existing cross-app chats will soon become read-only. So, you’ll still be able to view them but won’t be able to make any changes or updates.
According to a recent announcement by Meta, Instagram and Facebook will no longer support cross-app messaging starting mid-December 2023.
