This basically implies that any and all applications available on the Google Play Store that include a call recording function will be destroyed or prohibited as a result of this decision. The change in the Play Store policy has no impact on the in-built call recording functions on phones, which remain unchanged.
There has been no change for native call recorders.
Several smartphones from companies such as Samsung, Redmi, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Poco, Realme, OnePlus, and Tecno already provide an integrated call recording capability. Others include Samsung, Redmi, OnePlus, and Tecno. As a result, people who own smartphones from these manufacturers will not be affected by Google’s new Play store policy. Users using phones from companies other than these, on the other hand, must adhere to the new rules, which is especially important if they often record their incoming and outgoing conversations.
In light of the fact that the majority of popular smartphone manufacturers include a built-in call recording capability, the change in Play store policy will not make much of a difference for the vast majority of customers.

What is the reason for Google’s ban on call recording apps?

The internet giant feels that recording calls is an infringement of consumers’ privacy and thus should be prohibited. For the same reason, the business has included a loud and clear “this call is now being recorded” notice on his own Dialer software, which he can access through his smartphone. How to record phone calls without the use of third-party apps?
- While on a call, users of Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco phones can simply navigate to the call interface and select the option to record the conversation. The call recording file will be saved in a folder called files. The choice, of course, includes the MIUI interface, which is compatible with phones from all three manufacturers.
- Through the One UI software, Samsung phones now have the opportunity to record phone calls. The recording feature is usually activated by default on Samsung phones, but if it isn’t, go to the Settings menu and look for “call recorder” to enable it. The option can be turned off at any time if necessary.
- Oppo phones equipped with ColorOS software include a call recording capability integrated into the primary calling app. The function may be activated in the Settings app, and it will require access to the microphone and media in order to store the file on the device after it has been enabled.
- Call recording is included in the OxygenOS operating system on OnePlus phones. Users will just need to hit the call record button once while answering a phone call in order to enable the recording capability.
- RealmeUI adds the ability to record phone calls to Realme smartphones when they launch. Users may enable the feature from the Settings menu, and they can also turn it off when they no longer need it.
- Vivo phones, which run on the company’s proprietary Funtouch operating system, also include the call recording capability. During a phone conversation, the option to record the conversation can be selected.
