Share suggestions are currently being made available to Google Drive
Google has made it easy to share your files with your colleagues, as per an announcement on the company’s blog(opens in a new tab) and new suggestions for contacts available directly out of the sharing sheet from today.
To improve efficiency and collaboration, Google Workspace has added a new row of suggested contacts under the field that you typically enter the name of a person or email address. These will change in real-time depending on the people you have the most in common with.
Google Drive offering suggestions
It has begun to roll out this upgrade but it could take two weeks for certain users to notice the changes. That’s assuming they’re in a position to do so, as there’s just Workspace and the older G Suite accounts that will receive the new suggestions bar. Personal accounts aren’t affected by the new feature (for for now, at the very the very least).).
Apart from this change, Google is also busy changing its share sheet in recent weeks.
This month Google introduced the ability to set the expiration of sharing when sharing an image. In the past, users had to share their files, then return to the sharing tab to modify permissions. Since it’s been made available (to specific Workspace clients in the business) users can configure permissions much more easily.
Google isn’t the only one making changes to the way users share their data.
