Microsoft is expected to modify the manner in which it publishes important versions of Windows, which may imply that the corporation will release Windows 12 in the year 2024. Microsoft is a technology behemoth.
Because Microsoft is returning to a release cycle for Windows that occurs every three years, the next major edition of Windows is not expected to be available until the year 2024. According to The Verge, this is another significant shift in the way that Microsoft produces Windows.
After the launch of Windows 10 in 2015, the firm made the decision to prioritise the concept of Windows as a service and subsequently abandoned its previous three-year release cycle.
Windows 10 has been updated twice a year with substantial new features, in contrast to previous versions of Windows, which released significant new features only once every three years.

According to a source that cited Windows Central, a Microsoft employee described Windows 10 as “the last version of Windows.” This led many people who follow Windows to believe that Windows 10 would be the final major release of Windows. This belief persisted for a number of years.
The colossal corporation in the field of technology has never denied having made those remarks; rather, at the time, it stated that they were “representative of the way Windows would be provided as a service, delivering new innovations and upgrades in a continuous manner.”
This no longer applies as of the release of Windows 11 one year ago, and Microsoft now releases updates for both 10 and 11 on a yearly basis.
In addition to the release of the next version of Windows in 2024, Microsoft still intends to keep Windows 11 up to date in the years to come. In recent months, the software developer has been shifting away from its initial pledge of significant yearly upgrades for Windows 11, choosing instead to launch important features when they are ready rather than adhering to its original commitment.
Following the recent completion of its development by Microsoft, the subsequent big upgrade, designated 22H2, is presently anticipated to go out sometime in September or October.
