Samsung and Galaxy series
Samsung Galaxy S23 is the phone, as Samsung Galaxy fans know very well that it is the base variant of flagship series that Samsung launches every year. The launch event is usually around February or March, unlike its main rival, Apple, which announces iPhones in September of each calendar year.
Although there are a lot of smartphones unveiled every year, but over a couple of years, the excitement has really died down. After all, there are not many ‘out of the box’ innovations in smartphone technology. All we see every year is the iteration of the previous year’s model with slight changes in design, a speed bump, a larger battery, and improvements in the camera.
As we recently covered, Samsung launched its 5G variants of A series with upgraded camera system. But it is the Samsung Galaxy Series whose camera has made significant improvements. As far as the camera is concerned, Samsung has been surprising everyone, especially with their high-end flagship model Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. But hold your breath as the best will come later, and we will discuss the features of every launched Samsung Galaxy one by one.
Samsung Galaxy S23/S23 Plus
The 6.1-inch Galaxy S23 is a base variant in flagship series, and it is an excellent choice for Android users who choose smaller phones, much like its larger sibling, the Galaxy S22. Compared to their predecessors, the battery life of the Galaxy S23 lineup, including the standard 5.2-inch Galaxy S23 and the bigger 6.6-inch Galaxy S23 Plus, is much improved. The battery capacity of the Galaxy S23 has been increased to 3,900 mAh, which is an improvement over the 3,700 mAh capacity of the Galaxy S22. Meanwhile, the battery capacity of the Galaxy S23 Plus has been increased to 4,700 mAh, which is an improvement over the 4,500 mAh capacity of the Galaxy S22 Plus.
Also, both Samsumg Galaxy S23 and Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus comes with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and Samsung says it has been especially optimized for Samsung’s new phones.
Fast processors
The Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus provide a brisk and quick experience in day-to-day use. Because of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the games now provide the seamless experience with the graphics and frame rate set to its maximum levels, and launching programmes takes no time at all. All of these glafship phones have an adjustable refresh rate that can reach up to 120 Hz, which makes scrolling and animations run more smoothly and also helps to the devices’ lively appearance.
Galaxy Camera
Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus are equipped with a triple back camera that includes a primary camera with 50 megapixels, an ultra wide camera with 12 megapixels, and a telephoto camera with 10 megapixels. Because of a method known as pixel binning, you now have the ability to take pictures either at the maximum resolution of 50 megapixels or at a resolution of 12 megapixels, depending on what you are capturing.
It combines a number of pixels into a single larger pixel capable of absorbing more light. For instance, the 12-megapixel option is typically superior for use in environments with low illumination levels. Also, Samsung uses the controls from its Expert Raw app directly into the primary camera, making it more convenient for users who want quick access to an image’s uncompressed and complete form.
Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus camera system is very similar to its predecessor Galaxy S22; however, Samsung has made specific processing improvements, most notably with regard to the ability to take photographs in low light.
Design
The Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus look and feel remarkably similar to the Galaxy S22 in both appearance and operation. The primary distinction lies in the fact that Samsung did away with the camera island on the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus. Instead, the company opted for separate lenses that are placed on the back of the handset in the form of a vertical column. It helps to give the S23 a more unified appearance overall. Other than that, the phones are now offered in a variety of different colour options, some of which include green, black, cream, and lavender.
Price in India
Samsung Galaxy S23 price in India starts at 79,999 INR while Smasung Galaxy S23 Plus price starts at 94,999 INR. These prices are for the base variants, and the price goes up if you add more storage to it.
