Sony has launched the PlayStation 5 Slim in India, and it’s available for quick delivery through Blinkit, a quick-commerce platform owned by Zomato.
The PS5 Slim, which is available in two versions priced at Rs 44,990 and Rs 54,990, can be ordered via the Blinkit app.
CEO Albinder Dhindsa said customers could have the console delivered to their doorstep within 10 minutes of ordering.
Prior to this, Blinkit partnered with Unicorn, a premium Apple reseller, to deliver the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus to customers in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, and Bangalore within 10 minutes.
Key specifications of the Sony PS5 Slim include:
- Custom AMD Zen 2 CPU with eight cores and 16 threads, running at 3.5GHz.
- Custom GPU based on AMD RDNA 2 architecture, boasting 10.28 teraflops and 36 compute units clocked at 2.23GHz.
- 16GB of GDDR6 RAM.
- 1TB of storage.
- Blu-ray optical disk drive included with the PS5 Slim edition.
- The PS5 Slim Digital Edition supports a detachable disk drive (sold separately).
- Separate front and back covers for customization.
Pricing and availability details for the Sony PlayStation 5 Slim are as follows:
- The PlayStation 5 Slim edition is priced at Rs. 54,990, while the PS5 Digital Edition costs Rs. 44,990.
- These consoles are currently available for purchase in India from various retailers including Amazon, Blinkit, Croma, Flipkart, Reliance, Sony Center, and Vijay Sales.
- Customers in select cities such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, who order the PS5 Slim through the Blinkit app, can enjoy doorstep delivery within 10 minutes.
