A way to retrieve lost WhatsApp messages is accessible to beta testers
Sometimes you could send an WhatsApp text message to an unintentional target. You could also send an unintentional WhatsApp message to a person you intended to send it to It works in both ways. There’s a way to erase the messages and have no one see them again for as you are aware of your mistake in time. But what happens if you delete the wrong message, or , worse even, deleted it to yourself and not for all those who participated in a chat group? WhatsApp is currently beta testing a method to help you get your message out of the shadows of deletion.
In June, we revealed that WhatsApp had tested the possibility of undoing accidental deletion of messages. WABetaInfo states that the feature is rolling out to a small group of beta testers running Android using the version 2.22.18.13 of the application (download through APK Mirror), but certain users may have the option to erase older versions as well. An activation plan for additional beta testers is scheduled in the coming weeks.
If you delete a text message that you have created for yourself an e-mail, a snackbar floating notification is displayed at the bottom of the screen, confirming deletion. It also features an Undo button that allows you to recover messages deleted. Be aware that the snackbar will only be visible for a short period of time and that’s the only time to alter your mind and retrieve the message from the internet. There are many apps that have the same interface flow for performing a task in reverse, with Gmail being the best of the one-to-one communication apps. WhatsApp goes further by offering it’s feature called a kind that is an Undo-undo Send.
Undoing deletions can be a lifesaver should you make a mistake and clicked delete for me instead of the Delete to Me option in error instead of hitting Delete for everyone. If not, we’d prefer to undo a deletion rather than compose the entire message all over again.
The fact that the feature is in beta implies that it’s not certain to be made available to everyone We’d rather be able to see WhatsApp not follow through in this regard.
