New features have been added to WhatsApp for the benefit of its users. WhatsApp has long been suspected of working on emoji replies similar to those found in iMessage, but the service has now officially announced the addition. Only files less than 2GB can be sent between WhatsApp users and emoji replies are allowed. A WhatsApp group can have a maximum of 512 members.
Emoji responses on WhatsApp were initially disclosed by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on his Facebook page. WhatsApp competitors Signal, Telecom, and iMessage all have the emoji replies functionality. Emoji replies are also available on the other Meta-owned messaging apps. For a long time, WhatsApp has been working on this feature. During beta testing, the functionality was frequently observed by the testers. According to a post on the WhatsApp blog, this functionality will be accessible in the next update of the program.

Transfer up to 2GB of data
WhatsApp has now added the ability to transmit files of up to 2 GB in size within the app itself. End-to-end encryption will be used to protect the data. Before, customers were limited to transferring just 100MB at a time, which was not enough. Users would no longer have difficulty transmitting large quantities of video and audio files if the restriction were raised. On the other hand, WhatsApp recommends utilizing Wi-Fi for bigger downloads. Users will be able to see a timer when uploading or downloading, according to a blog post on the feature.
A WhatsApp group can have up to 512 members
Groups may now have up to 512 members, WhatsApp has stated in its blog post. Only 256 persons may be added to a group at a time in the chat app. Even then, WhatsApp has stated that the functionality would only be rolled out gradually. As WhatsApp stated, “We believe these set of changes will help people stay in touch with each other in a safe and secure environment.”
