The WhatsApp team is currently developing a feature that will allow users to synchronise their chat history across devices. The companion mode function will allow users to connect an additional mobile device to their WhatsApp account even when there is no network connectivity. In this sense, it is analogous to the capability of supporting many devices, but not identical to it. For some reason, the multi-device capability only allows users to connect four devices to a single account, and not two smartphones.
According to the website Wabetainfo, WhatsApp will soon make it simpler for users to add a second phone to their account. Whatsapp now allows you to sync your account across many devices. Due to technical constraints, WhatsApp cannot currently be used simultaneously on two devices. Users, however, have the option of signing in from a desktop computer, a tablet computer, or any number of other devices. Currently, work is being done on the feature.

When a user logs into WhatsApp on a second mobile device, their conversations are safely replicated on both devices. Wabetainfo said that this might take some time, therefore WhatsApp is working on implementing the same messaging system used on WhatsApp Web/Desktop. “It explains that chats are still in sync, thus previous messages are briefly not visible,” the site explained.
The option to conceal one’s online status from certain contacts is another feature WhatsApp may provide shortly.
Users of WhatsApp will have the option of restricting their online status to certain contacts. The feature is still in the works, so beta testers won’t be able to access it just yet. “ There will be two new choices, “Everyone” and “Same as Last Seen,” inside our last seen settings that will allow us to choose who may see when we are online. To illustrate, if you set your “Last Seen” to “My contacts” and your “online” setting to “Same as Last Seen,” only your contacts will know when you are online.
To protect their privacy, WhatsApp users may now choose which contacts see their last seen and status updates. Previously, there was no way for users to restrict who may view their last seen or status updates. Only “Everyone,” “My Contacts,” and “Nobody” were available to the users. Users may now additionally choose “My Contacts excluding” as an option.
