WhatsApp voice messages will now be able to play outside of the chat.

WhatsApp’s voice message feature now includes a slew of new capabilities. Voice messages can now be paused and resumed, recorded before being sent, and even played outside of the chat on both Android and iOS. Messages can also be played again at a speed of 1.5 or 2 times the normal rate. Whatsapp announced that the changes will be available to all users in the coming weeks.

Voice messages can be played while other chats are being read and replied to, making things much easier. If a voice message is very long, the audio will cease playing the instant you return to the chat interface to respond to, say, your mother’s message. For a second listen, go back and start at the beginning of the message. It’s time to put an end to the hassle of out-of-chat playback on WhatsApp. However, you should be aware that the voice messages will stop playing if you close WhatsApp or use another app while they are playing.

Two new capabilities have been added to WhatsApp’s voice recorder to make it even better. Aside from that, there are several new features that make it easier to record without leaving a gap of silence while you’re pondering what to say. It’s also helpful for those who aren’t fluent in English. If you have to respond to someone in English, but you’re not fluent in the language, you might want to think again about it. It’s easy to take your time while translating from your native language to English when using pause and resume. A beta version was released for Android and desktop users in February after WhatsApp began testing the functionality for iPhones in January.

First of all, if you make any mistakes when speaking on WhatsApp, the service will allow you to preview your recording before sending it. You can re-record a message if you don’t think you got it right the first time around.

Voice messages on WhatsApp will appear a lot different with the next version. The waveform of a voice message will now appear in place of a single dot traveling along a single line. As a result, you’ll be able to tell which parts of the recording have noises and which do not. Upon your return, WhatsApp will remember where you left off in the replay and allow you to resume from where you left off. No need to start over from the beginning of the recording.

Voice communications on WhatsApp can now be played back at a faster rate. You can now listen to speech recordings at 1.5X and 2X speeds instead of only one, single 1X speed. People who want to skip the quiet in a voice message, or who have acquaintances who speak too slowly, could find this beneficial. WhatsApp began testing audio recording playback speeds in November of last year.
Will Cathcart – Head of WhatsApp – claims that 7 billion voice messages are sent on WhatsApp every day, and hence, voice messaging upgrades are important. “A voice message is quick, easy, intimate, and expressive,” explains Cathcart. In my opinion, it’s far more pleasant to say “goodnight” or “Happy Birthday” by voice rather than text. Watching a Show in Real Time
