Windows 11 now features hardware indications that is similar to the Mac OS

Microsoft has just released a new version of Windows 11 that includes revised flyout hardware indicators (similar to those found in macOS and iOS). Because of the redesigned appearance of these flyouts, they are more in keeping with the general look of Windows 11.

The new flyouts will be available for testing exclusively to users who are currently participating in the Windows 11 beta through the Windows Insider Program on the Dev Channel, which is currently closed to the general public.

Users have been requesting a new flyout design for a long time, and the new design has now arrived. Some users, on the other hand, claim that the new design does not operate well on Windows devices with touch screens and that it does not match the design that was introduced in the Control Panel in the previous version.

In order to comply with Windows 11 design standards, we’ve revised the flyout design for hardware indicators for brightness, volume, camera privacy, the camera on/off, and airplane mode. Amanda Langowski and Brandon LeBlanc from Microsoft collaborated on this project.

“When you press the volume or brightness change key on your laptop, new flyouts will display, and light/dark mode will be applied for a more unified Windows experience,” the company says.

In addition, the Windows Insider team informed us that the volume and brightness indicators will remain interactive after installing the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22533 for the Dev Channel.

This week, Microsoft began rolling out a new voice call experience on Your Phone to all Windows Insider users who are members of the Dev Channel, which was previously unavailable. New graphics, icons, and typefaces have been added to the site in recent revisions.

Many more issues have been addressed in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22533, including driver or firmware update issues, application login issues, picture import issues, and Windows Explorer crashes, among others. Earlier this month, Microsoft released a totally new version of the Notepad software for Windows 11.
