Users of Windows 10 version 21H2 who do not want to perform a complete upgrade that might disrupt their workflow are the primary target audience for this release. There are fewer risks and fewer time-consuming modifications in Windows 10 version 21H2 aimed toward corporate customers. It’s also a good idea to download this update if your computer doesn’t satisfy the minimum requirements for Windows 11.
To improve Wi-Fi security, the only new features in this release support for WPA3 H2E standards, GPU computing support in Windows Subsystem for Linux for machine learning workflows, and simpler deployment of passwordless Windows Hello-enabled PCs in commercial contexts. The addition of new functionality is no longer restricted to major feature releases like this; instead, cumulative updates are a viable option for Microsoft going forward.
